“An Iranian Transgender Story”
This photography series tells the story of Sina, a young man who identifies as transgender and lives in Bandar Abbas. In a situation where his family has separated and, due to personal matters, he lives with his grandmother, Sina is in search of identity and acceptance within society. He has faced humiliation in public several times, yet he continues on his path. Sina maintains connections with other transgender individuals and, for brief moments of respite from this tense world, he visits cafes to spend time with his female friends. This collection captures the challenges and hopes Sina experiences in his life.
“Yazd Nursing Home”
“A photo series from the Mehriz nursing home reflects the lives of those who, at the end of their journey, face a form of forgetfulness and loneliness. In this project, I sought to uncover the hidden aspects of the lives of elderly people in this environment. These photos serve as a kind of silent cry from them—a cry where, amidst silence and pain, hope and life still reside. Through this, I wanted to capture the bitter reality of how the passage of time and neglect of the elderly can lead their lives into oblivion, while still harboring a world full of emotions and memories within them.”
